And now they’re back, live on stage... only for them, it really has to be The Full Monty. Simon Beaufoy, the Oscar-winning writer of the film, has now gone back to Sheffield where it all started to rediscover the men, the women, the heartache and the hilarity of a city on the dole.

Exploring the natural world around their new home, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric residents, including cherished characters Moonface, Silky, Dame Washalot and Saucepan Man. Daneside Theatre is an independent theatre with a charitable status that aims to provide a venue for the community that all ages can benefit from.
The 300-seat theatre is located just on the edge of the town centre just off the Mountbatten Way, the dual carriageway that runs through the town. It is the home of various amateur groups as well as being available to hire for shows and business events. The original theatre built in the 1980s was extended in 2000 to add rehearsal rooms, scenery store and provides better access and facilities for all theatre users.
These facilities enable shows of all types to be staged, from plays to musicals, films to dance shows, pantomimes to concerts. So we aim to have something to suit all tastes during our season.
